"Rock Iguana"

Stretched Giclee canvas print from Original Oil Painting 16” X 20”

Open Edition-Jan 2026 -$175

The symbol of Little Cayman. I chose to also incorporate the beach with palm trees into the scene to capture the essence of the place. My thanks to Tamara Doyle for her photo, which served as the model for this original oil painting. The original painting was donated for auction at the annual fundraiser for the Little Cayman National Trust, which protects these unique animals and others indigenous to the sister islands. Giving back to a place that I love and has rewarded me with the most excellent memories.

"Jimmy 2"

Stretched Giclee canvas print from Original Oil Painting 11” X 14”

Signed Limited Edition of 100 prints-Jan 2025

This second version of the Jimmie crab is from a different aspect angle. Th original painting was commissioned by a good Friend.  The male blue crab is known by the waterman as a Jimmy. The Jimmy has the bluish color on the tip of the claws as well as the other parts of the legs, for which the blue crab is known for. The #1 Jimmy typically has a darker, older looking shell and sometimes has what looks like rust on the bottom of the shell, indicating that it has been some time since he has shed his shell. For this reason, the number one Jimmy crabs are the most sought-after crabs since they are known to be the meatiest. I like them best in early October, when the meat is arguably the best. These crabs are a symbol to me of the bounty of the summer months. The #1 Jimmy in this picture was in fact deposited from my crab pot on the dock just in preparation for a family crab feast.
